Word of the Day

How Are We Feeling Today?

Okay, I will spare you the specifics and the details, but I am suffering from a stomach flu that has had hold of me for two days now. I went over 30 hours with no solid food, and limited liquids. I have been feverish and aching throughout the day and night. Tonight, after around 36 hours with nothing more solid than "Go-gurt," I ate dinner--pizza, and cheese-sticks, with root-beer

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to come up with a fictional word that describes exactly how I feel after this dinner. I will give you only one hint: it ain't good. And I'm still feeling it a couple of hours later.

The winner will be the person who comes closest to the sound being made in my head as I write this! Use your imagination, but don't gross yourself out in the process! We don't need more of us feeling this way...

  2. Keep 'em comin'! You're allowed more than one entry, since I STILL FEEL THE SAME WAY!!!! At least it will make it easier to be in touch with the winner!

  3. And just for your info...(not that you wanted to know)...If you ever feel like this, DO NOT eat KFC and Mexican in the same day....

I was celebrating the fact that I could handle more than one meal finally, but didn't know I was rejoicing too soon.

Then this would be my entry:

  5. Yes, fictional. And don't forget -- we're looking for a SOUND. The one being made in my head. You may want to rethink your varied approaches.

  6. Sound....yup, that's what you said alright. That's what I get for not reading and following the crowd. Sound..... hmm. NOPE, I got 'nuthin. Although I'm fairly certain I have heard my body say "aye, yie, yie."

  8. Sound in your head? Wouldn't it be easier to come up with the sound in your belly?

  9. I got the sound!!

    Ah, crud that's not fictional...

  10. I think the sound you are hearing Mr. Giggles is "Nyork Nyork Nyork." You might ask what kind of a sound that is. Why, that is the sound of laughter from the spoiled crab you ate....

  14. Oh, Fromagette, I had no idea we had another StrongBad fan out there! Technically, not a made-up sound, but still gave me some Giggles!

Now if you'll excuse me, I think I'll go paint a picture of a guy...with a big knife...Whoa! I think I'll get started on THAT right NOW!

  15. And I didn't believe my husband that someone would get that right off. Yes, it isn't made up, but the first one was. And I did have to go back and watch the birth of fhqwhgads. Hope your picture turns out like StrongBad's!

  16. I have to explain my sound first. See, you had the idea in your head that you should go ahead and eat it. Your head wasn't listening to your stomach. So now your head is saying:
    BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

  17. I got it: "Snap, Crackle, Pop"...Oh wait, that's the sound of your knees when you are kneeling at the toilet...

  18. I guess it's time to call this one. I am feeling better, but still vividly recall my experiences. One issue though, was the fact that there were rules: It had to be a sound, and it had to be fictional. Some of you combined actual words to create new words, but only a couple of entries followed the rules: Delirious with her "Nyork" sounds, and Fromagette with "kbdjnfqahyqguqi."

I may have made sounds like the latter, but the sound in my head was something close to "mworf."
Delirious came closest, while still following the rules. Well done, D! And BTW, I will listen better to your "BRAT" advice next time, too!
